v US covert entities should not
have to run guns and narcotics in order to finance clandestine
operations: Give them the money openly
instead. Congress is NOT on a need-to-know.
v Stop passing $3B spending packages under the misnomer, "Qualify of Life Improvement for Military Personnel," when not even one-half of one percent of the funds are going anywhere remotely connected to DoD, much less to the personnel. v If Congress was run like jury duty,
the era of special interests, lobbyists, pork, riders, illegal
attachments and unbridled spending would no longer obstruct the
legislative process.
v Abolish professional politicians: Three branches of government was established to prevent any one (or two) branches from obstructing the others. We now have a fraternity of back-scratchers embedded in all three branches who care very little about their public trust. v The significant difference between
Congress and organized crime is that Congress can pass legislation that
sanctions what it does illegally. At least a Boss keeps his word.
v Professional politicians need to
understand that the voters are sufficiently credentialed to "grasp"
the sheer stupidity conducted by special interests groups and lobbyists
on the Hill. Politicians need OUR sanction – the public does NOT
need theirs.
v To rationalize the need for an Electoral College, Alexander Hamilton said, "The masses are too stupid to govern themselves." Karl Marx and Lenin both borrowed Hamilton's line when justifying the need for Communism. That's what happens when people let politicians ‘do the thinking.’ |
